Non-credit courses allow students the opportunity to engage in non-credit academic experiences that are transcript visible. See the Non-credit Courses page to learn more about the process for creating these courses. See also the Non-credit Courses policy.

Required Information

  • Course details
    • Complete all mandatory fields (boxes outlined in red) in the course proposal
    • The course title, description, and learning outcomes are determined by the academic experience offered. Copy that information from the Non-credit Courses page.
  • Syllabus
  • Liaisons are not required

Approval Deadline

New courses or changes to non-credit courses can be implemented as early as the the following term. The catalog year policy does not apply.

CPS Archive

The Curriculum Proposal System (CPS) archive contains program (major, minor, option, certificate) and course proposals submitted between 2001 and November 2019, with the exception of new program proposals submitted before 2010.
